Meet our amazing staff


Deb Gill (Office Manager)

Deb has been with Huntingdon Vision Center since 1995. She has worn many hats over the years and is currently the office manager.

Deb graduated from Juniata Valley High School and married her childhood sweetheart in 1979. Deb has two wonderful children and several grandchildren as well as her faithful companion Bocephus (dog). Deb enjoys reading and spending time with her family when she’s not working.


Cheryl Buell (Optician)

Raised in Martinsburg, Cheryl is a 1999 graduate of Central High School. She attended Central Penn College and received her Associate Degree in Applied Science. She is certified by the American Board of Opticianry as well as being a certified contact lens technician. She has over 20 years of experience and is our “Glasses Guru”. She joined Huntingdon Vision Center in the spring of 2011.

Cheryl now resides in Hollidaysburg with her fur babies. In her free time she enjoys living her life to the fullest with family and friends. Gardening, art, hiking, kayaking, fishing, skiing and spending time on the lake are some of the activities she enjoys.


Tammy McClain (Tech)

Tammy grew up in Mapleton Depot and is a 1979 graduate of Mount Union Area High School. Tammy joined the Army Reserves in 1982 and her unit was mobilized to Desert Storm in 1991. She joined Huntingdon Vision Center in 2002. She handles contact lens orders and patient presenting.

Tammy and her husband Terry live in Calvin. Tammy has three children: Tausha, Tyler, and Trey, and five grandchildren: Wyatt, Hayden, Gilbert, Gideon and Georgia. She remains very active with veterans. She is a past commander of the VFW post 1754 (Huntingdon). Additionally, she is involved with boy scouts.


Christina Householder (Front Desk & Insurance)

Christina grew up as a military child so no place was quite home to her but she has lived in Pennsylvania since 2007 with the exception of living in Texas for 4 years.  She was our intern during the summer of 2011 and after moving back from Texas in 2020 she became employed at Huntingdon Vision Center in January 2021. She spends her time outside of work with her husband Joe and their 5 dogs. Christina loves to spend her vacation time traveling the world.


Kathryn J. Hopsicker (Intern/Tech)

Kathryn is currently a student at Gettysburg College and is pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences. Kathryn’s plan is to continue her education by attending Optometry school when she finishes her degree at Gettysburg. You can find Kathryn working with us on her breaks from school. Outside of work and school she enjoys crafting, reading hiking and watching thunderstorms. Kathyrn also works as a tutor and in the library at Gettysburg College.
